Victoria Hitz is a student at the University of Houston where she is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education. She has been an active performer in all three of the Moores School of Music’s performing wind ensembles, the Spirit of Houston Cougar Marching Band, the University Women’s Chorus, and the MSM Steel Drum Ensemble. She was also awarded membership into Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity, and the Golden Key International Honour Society.

During her time in Houston, Ms. Hitz has discovered a passion for conducting and arranging in addition to music education. In March of 2015, she had the first public performance of one of her arrangements at her own senior flute recital. Her flute choir transcription of Eric Whitacre’s The Seal Lullaby received many positive comments and reviews from her peers and the School of Music faculty. Ms. Hitz continues to arrange for flute duet, trio, and choir as well as saxophone choir and wind ensemble.

When time allows, Ms. Hitz enjoys travelling and capturing her adventures on camera, learning new languages, and relaxing at home with her cats.
