Victoria Anne Hitz is a proud graduate of Keller Central High School in the Keller Independent School District where she first became interested in music education under the direction of Mr. Kevin McNulty. She is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music, where she studies flute with Mrs. Melissa Suhr. While at the Moores School of Music, Tori has been an active performer in all three performing concert bands, is one of three flute section leaders in the Spirit of Houston Cougar Marching Band for a third year in a row, and has performed in many student recitals in chamber group settings.

As an educator, Tori has taught flute privately in the Houston area and assisted with high school marching bands in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. When time allows, she is an amateur photographer, swimmer, runner, and martial artist, and also arranges music for flute and piano, flute trio and quartet, and flute choir.

Tori has also received numerous honors such as membership in the National Honors Society, the Semper Fidelis Award, University of Houston’s Academic Excellence Scholarship, and the Spirit of Houston Alumni Association’s Robert Mayes Scholarship. Her professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association and Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity.
